- PERFORM NECESSARY DIAGNOSTIC TESTING AND ADVISE:
- FOUND:I inspected the vehicle and confirmed the client's concern that the hybrid warning light is illuminated. I found code P0A80 present for an internal fault with the Hybrid battery pack. I performed necessary diagnostic testing and found the battery pack has failed. There is a TSB present for a hybrid battery cooling fan fault. This fault can lead to an overheating condition which damages the battery. I removed the Hybrid battery cooling fan as described in the technical service bulletins and found there is an excessive amount of dust and debris present in the fan which is limiting the fans ability to properly cool the battery.
