- INSPECT AND ADVISE: Customer states that there is a noise from the drivetrain under acceleration as I inspected the car upon start I can hear a humming and grinding sound coming from the transmission and as I dig deeper noise is coming from the torque converter internal. I checked for any pending codes for the transmission and I found nothing, internal transmission noise problem, that's a test drive the car I found out that there is nothing wrong with the shifting of the transmission. The customer states that there is a noise from the drivetrain under acceleration as I inspected the car there is also a noise coming from the engine bay a loud picking sound. As I continue with my inspection I disconnected the belt and found no noise coming from the belt nor the pulleys, finally found that the high pressure fuel pump is causing all the noise from the engine bay. Recommend replacing high pressure fuel pump assembly
