- THE CUSTOMER STATES A CHARGING SYSTEM WARNING WITH CODE #P0562 ILLUMINATED ON THE DASH WHILE DRIVING AND THE RDX SEEMED LIKE IT MIGHT HAVE A LACK OF POWER OR FELT DIFFERENT AFTER THE LIGHT WAS ON. INSPECT AND ADVISE ON NEEDED REPAIR.
- FOUND: I inspected the vehicle and verified the client's concern that there is a charging system malfunction and there is a warning message displayed in the information center. I performed necessary diagnostic testing and found charging system output is well below the anticipated value. I continued the inspection and found the alternator has failed and will require replacement. While inspecting the alternator I found the alternator is soaked in engine oil. The variable valve timing solenoid assembly is leaking and will require resealing to remedy the leak. Recommend replacing the alternator assembly and removing the left side valve cover and rock arm assembly in order to reseal the variable valve timing control solenoid assembly.
- Inspect the tire PSI and Inflate to Proper Specifications Front __35___PSI Rear__35___PSI
- ALTERNATOR ASSEMBLY – Remove & Replace
- ROCKER ARM OIL CONTROL VALVE – LEFT – Remove & Replace
- REMOVE & REPLACE- VVT SOLENOID
- STABILIZER BAR END LINK – Remove & Replace – Each
