- SERVICE THE AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM AND ADVISE: I inspected the vehicle and confirm the customer's concern, that the AC system does not produce cold air. Using our AC machine I found the system to be almost near pool on a refrigerant charge. Continuing they diagnosis I found that the AC compressor is not engaging. Using a scanner I was able to retrieve a store diagnostic trouble code in the HVAC module, Code 00819-009 high pressure sensor open circuit short circuit to ground. I inspected the wiring going to the AC high pressure sensor and found multiple points of rodent damaged wiring. Recommend remove necessary components in order to gain access. Recommend repair restore wiring. Recheck and verify proper operation. Continue diagnosis if needed.
- DISASSEMBLE, REPAIR THE ELECTRICAL WIRING AS REQUIRED, REASSEMBLE, REPLACE BOTH SERVICE PORT SCHRADER VALVES, RECHARGE THE SYSTEM, TEST FOR PROPER OPERATION.
