Services Performed
- The dealership said the hydraulic control arm bushings are leaking and needed to be replaced. New spark plugs were also recommended.
- INSPECT THE FRONT SUSPENSION FOR DAMAGED / LEAKING BUSHINGS AND ADVISE:
- Roadtest, inspect the integrity of the steering and suspension components, inspect the front and rear tires, inspect for excessive "play" in the wheel bearings and other related components, and advise: Customer states that the dealership said that the hydraulic control arm bushings are leaking and need to be replaced. They also recommended new spark plugs to be replaced. Inspect vehicle and advise. According to our service information, the spark plug replacement service is not due until 60k. I performed a test drive and inspected the vehicle. I verified the customers concern that one of the control arm bushings is leaking hydraulic fluid. (See photos on lower control arm inspection line) There are a total of (4) lower control arms on the front end of this vehicle. The remaining control arms and their bushings appear to be okay at this time. Recommend replace the right front rear position lower control arm. Given the age and mileage, I suggest replacing both rear position lower control arms at the front.
