- CUSTOMER REPORTS CHECK ENGINE LIGHT IS ON, VEHICLE PULLS TO THE LEFT, AND VIBRATION OVER 80
- FOUND: I inspected the vehicle and verified the client's concern that the check engine light is illuminated and that there is no significant drivability issue present. I retrieved diagnostic trouble code p0442 as indicated by the client. I performed a detailed leak inspection using electronic leak detection equipment and found that the purge line at the top of the fuel tank appears compromised and is the source of the leak. Removal of the fuel tank will be required to replace the fuel vapor line. Recommend removing the fuel tank in order to repair the purge fuel vapor line. The ABS and traction control warning lamps are illuminated in the dash. This indicates a failure within the traction control and anti-lock braking systems. I retrieved a diagnostic trouble code for the left front wheel speed sensor. I performed necessary diagnostic testing and found the wiring damaged by varmints. Recommend replacing the left front ABS wheel speed sensor and repairing damage to the vehicle wiring harness.
- DISASSEMBLE, REMOVE THE FUEL TANK TO GAIN ACCESS, REPAIR THE FUEL EVAPORATION HOSE, REASSEMBLE.
- DISASSEMBLE, REPLACE THE LEFT A.B.S. SPEED SENSOR, REPAIR THE WIRING, REASSEMBLE, TEST FOR PROPER OPERATION.
- REPLACE THE ENGINE AIR FILTER
- Inspect the tire PSI and Inflate to Proper Specifications Front __33___PSI Rear__33___PSI
- FOUND: THE REAR DRUMS BRAKES ARE OUT OF ADJUSTMENT.
