- PERFORM NECESSARY DIAGNOSTIC TESTING AND ADVISE:
- FOUND: I inspected the vehicle and verified the client's concern that the check engine light is illuminated and there is no significant drivability issue present. I retrieved diagnostic trouble code p0496 which indicates the fuel vapor system purge valve is active during a non purge event. I performed necessary diagnostic testing and found the purge valve has failed and will require replacement. During my inspection I have found the fault has allowed excessive fuel vapor to enter the throttle body which has led to a substantial amount of carbon to build up. Suggest performing a fuel induction system service including cleaning the throttle body to remove the deposits.

- FOUND: I inspected the vehicle and verified the client's concern that the check engine light is illuminated and there is no significant drivabilty issue present. Customer States the check engine light has been intermittently illuminated with a store trouble code P0420. Performed health check of vehicle and found DTC code P0420 Catalyst Bank 1 efficiency below threshold and p0430 Catalyst bank 2 efficiency below threshold. We recommend replacement of both bank 1 & 2 catalytic converters and oxygen sensors.
- DISASSEMBLE, REPLACE THE EXHAUST MANIFOLD / CATALYTIC CONVERTER ASSEMBLY (FIREWALL SIDE / BANK ONE), REASSEMBLE WITH NEW GASKETS.
- REPLACE THE AIR INTAKE HOSE AND AIR FILTER
- INSPECT, CONFIRM AND ADVISE:
- Roadtest, inspect the integrity of the steering and suspension components, inspect the front and rear tires, inspect for excessive "play" in the wheel bearings and other related components, and advise: There is noise from the suspension or steering. Upon test drive found popping and rattle type noise coming from front suspension, inspected underneath vehicle and found drivers front strut assembly to be loose and shaking very badly. Recommend retorque front suspension components + wheel alignment.
- DISASSEMBLE, STRAIGHTEN THE BACKING PLATE AS REQUIRED AND RETORQUE THE FRONT SUSPENSION COMPONENTS.
- DISASSEMBLE, REMOVE BOTH INNER TIE ROD ENDS, TAP AND CHASE THE STEERING RACK THREADS AS REQUIRED, REINSTALL THE INNER TIE ROD ENDS, MAKE NECESSARY ADJUSTMENTS.

- ROADTEST TO DUPLICATE THE DESCRIBED SYMPTOMS AND CONDITIONS, INSPECT THE FLUID LEVEL AND CONDITION, ADJUST THE FLUID LEVEL IF REQUIRED, INSPECT EXTERNAL ADJUSTMENTS AND READJUST IF NEEDED, REROADTEST TO MONITOR OPERATIONS AND ADVISE: I inspected the vehicle and verified the client's concern that there is a transmission malfunction present. I inspected the transmission fluid level and condition and found the level is full however the fluid is burnt and discolored. I retrieved diagnostic trouble code p0731 which indicates the first gear ratio is incorrect. These are all indications of an internal transmission malfunction. Replacement of the transmission unit and programming will be required. Recommend replacing the transmission and Performing necessary programming.
