- PERFORM NECESSARY DIAGNOSTIC TESTING AND ADVISE:
- FOUND: I inspected the vehicle and verified the client's concern that the Check Engine light is illuminated and that there are no significant drivability issues. I retrieved diagnostic trouble code P0A0A, which indicates there's a high-voltage interlock fault. I inspected the interlock circuits and found no indication of a fault. During testing, I found the 12-volt battery is weak. This can lead to multiple electrical malfunctions in the vehicle. Recommend replacing the 12 volt battery, clearing the code and monitoring the high voltage system for a potential intermittent fault.
- Replace the battery as required, reassemble with equipped hold-down hardware.

- INSPECT AND ADVISE:
- Roadtest, inspect the integrity of the steering and suspension components, inspect the front and rear tires, inspect for excessive "play" in the wheel bearings and other related components, and advise: During my initial test drive, I verified the client's concern about noise from the suspension or steering system. The noise is most noticeable on the driver's side near the upper strut mount. In addition, there is excessive powertrain movement due to worn-out powertrain mounts. Also, the lower control arm bushings are allowing excessive movement of both front wheels when turning, accelerating, or braking. Recommend replacing the front strut assemblies. Recommend replacing the powertrain mounts. Recommend replacing the lower control arms.
- DISASSEMBLE, REPLACE THE FRONT STRUT/COIL SPRING ASSEMBLIES, REASSEMBLE.
- DISASSEMBLE, REPLACE THE REAR SHOCK ABSORBERS, REASSEMBLE.
- DISASSEMBLE REPLACE THE LOWER CONTROL ARM ASSEMBLIES, REASSEMBLE.
- Inspect and make required adjustments to set "toe", "caster", and "camber" to factory specifications on the front and rear suspension (where applicable). Alignment warranty requires tire rotations and checking tire pressure in accordance with manufacturer's specifications.
