    • PERFORM NECESSARY DIAGNOSTIC TESTING AND ADVISE:
    • FOUND: I inspected the vehicle and verified the client's concern that the check engine light is illuminated. I found there is an extended crank symptom present and a significant lack of power above 3,800 rpm. I retrieved diagnostic trouble code P0340 which indicates there is no signal present from the intake camshaft position sensor. I performed necessary diagnostic testing and found there is substantial damage to the powertrain wiring harness due to varmints. Recommend partially removing the wiring harness in order to facilitate repair, perform repairs, reinstall the vehicle harness, clear the codes and test drive to verify there are no additional faults.
    • I inspected the door lock operation and verified the clients concern that the doors do not lock. I verified the fault is present during key fob use and power door lock button operation. I found there are no trouble codes stored in the body control module. During testing I found there is a door jar signal present at the body control module which is prohibiting the door locks from locking. I continued the inspection on the door lock system wiring and found there is damage to the body control module harness from varmints. Recommend partially removing the body control module harness, performing necessary repairs, reinstalling and reinitializing the power door lock system.
