- INSPECT AND ADVISE: I performed a test drive and confirmed the customer's concerned, that there is a clunking rattle type noise that sounds loud as if the left front area of the vehicle. Further suspension and steering inspections found a left front sway bar link where one of the joints is completely worn out and is loose to the touch. Given the age and mileage of the vehicle the possibility of multiple sources for different noises being present exists. Recommend replace front sway bar end links. Recommend replace front sway bar to body bushings. Recheck and verify for proper operation. Continue diagnosis if needed
- Roadtest, inspect the integrity of the steering and suspension components, inspect the front and rear tires, inspect for excessive "play" in the wheel bearings and other related components, and advise: THE INSPECTION FOUND WORN-OUT FRONT STABILIZER LINKS.
- DISASSEMBLE, REPLACE THE FRONT STABILIZER LINKS, REASSEMBLE.
